Dragnet fans, it's BACK with a vengeance!
When you think that this awful and powerful US Senator has been vilifying gays and preaching 'family valuesf' for years, also voting to impeach Clinton, against gay marriage etc..etc...You cannot find a happier ending. Keith Olbermann, a great new movie director!

Yes, the production by Obermann is clever and amusing, and crucifying. I just feel very sad that a man in Craig's position of leadership should destroy his career and embarrass his family by engaging in this compulsive (?) behavior. What was he thinking?

I have a question. Can we consider the possibility of Craig being set up.! In order to undermine the credibility of the Republican Party.
The fundamental issue is hypocrisy. Barny Frank is openly gay and continues to serve his country and gain reelection.
The Craig case illustrates a fundamental problem with the conservative end ot the Republican Party. As long as Republicans bash homosexualtiy as a political issue, they will continue to be embarrassed when the public finds out that some of the leading gay bashers are themselves gay.
Me thinks they doth protest too much.

Because of this blog and your comments, a good republican senator had to resign for technical reasons.
But know this:
The Idaho State governor will nominate his successor.
Idaho and its govenor being in a very conservative area,
then the successor for the now resigned senator is sure to be a republican.
(As seen and heard on the tv, on RDI, = the equivalent of CNN in french Canada.
