The video cut off half way through. Still, what I heard was such an indictment against this administration and corporate interests. Here I sit in Carlsbad, CA. Outside my home office door, the garden is lined with flowering bushes. In the trees, the birds are chirping. Everywhere, there is sunshine. Still, after watching the video, my heart is, yes, heavy. I love this country. I want to believe. Sometimes it's very, very hard.
Hey Camille, I was not laying one on you. I am not even sad, not being at all sure that the crisis is as bad as they say it is.My only purpose is to see if my friends can come up with more credible evidence one way or another. Enjoy you beautiful yard and don't feel bad; I have a feeling that the tuth lies in between somewhere as it usually does..
So true, Jacques. Ecology is ecology - the crisis (I hope!) is the non-reckoning. As we each move to adapt a lighter footstep perhaps we can see a future instead of a past. Global warming is also part of a two other concerns, a defense budget and bio-ethics.
Perhaps we can use these two forces to resolve each other. Breed a better bonobo or plant a tree. Like statistics, the overview is always complex - darkening - but when it's to the One - that's really all you can do.
And yes, keep smiling Camille - cuz that's where the hope is, too. Otherwise - it's all downhill - which only accounts for rivers, not the full cycle of water.
Maybe the video stopped halfway thru because we will always be facing ecology - until we find a new planet or more tangibly - a better way of living. This of course includes unique architectural space saving designs (see link at bottom of this website) as well as a support for alternate energy - of which that sun you point to Camille, is worthy.
Now once we feed all these people - house them all - we also need to develop better imaginations. That's your job Camille. Write and write with belief - whether you think it is good or bad (both produce imagination in audiences)! As real estate is limited, becoming crowded - and humans are inately migrational - we need to learn mind travel (how to dream again). Thus you aren't just a writer, Camille, you are mapping new territory for others. Space - between the ears - is the Final Frontier. Our brains have the room. Our planet does not. Time for them to Balance.
(Actually all global warming would stop if I'd just quit smoking, but let that be our little secret for now...)
13. Whoa! You've charged me with an incredible challenge. Maybe one day, if I live long enough, I'll live up to it. Right now, my interest is murder and mayhem, and there's more than enough to go around. Particularly, the uglies of the current campaign. A sweet little grandchild would complete my life. Mark?

Hi Camille, Jacques, Blawgers...
